UpStairs on the Square ramps up their tea offerings just in time for the holidays. Pick a Saturday or Sunday afternoon during December and head for Harvard Square, between 2:00 and 4:00pm, to enjoy a towering tea tray of artisanal savories, tea sandwiches, cookies and bite-sized Christmas sweets. If you’ve got little ones in tow, book a table on Sundays, between 2:00 and 4:00pm, for the Children’s Zebra Tea, a family-friendly extravaganza of culinary delights including marzipan chocolate mice, grilled cheese and PB&J tea sandwiches (sans crusts, of course), hot cocoa, black and white brownies and lots of holiday cookies. Bring a new stuffed animal and it will be donated to Children’s Hospital Boston come Christmas – ‘tis the season for giving, after all.
