Nothing says summer like a good ol’ hotdog – the folks from the Summer Shack invite you to get your fill at one of their upcoming Hot Dog Eating Contests. To be a part of the spectacle, grab the kids and head to Spectacle Island on Saturday, July 10th at 2:00pm. Ferries depart pretty regularly (check the schedule here) from Long Wharf. The contest is free to watch, though there’s a nominal fee to enter – hot dogs aren’t free, after all. If you can’t make it this month, you’re in luck – the event will be recurring on Saturdays August 28th, September 18th and October 9th. For more information visit the Boston Harbor Alliance website.
