Fifth Annual Cape Land And Sea Harvest

If you didn’t spend enough quality time on the Cape over the summer, mark your calendars and plan a fall excursion for the fifth annual Cape Land and Sea Harvest. Scheduled for Friday, September 24th through Sunday, September 26th, the weekend-long celebration highlights all the edible goodness that’s grown, farmed, caught and raised on the Cape. Pick one of the numerous tastings, tours or tutorials – you can learn to harvest hardshell clams from The Clam Man himself, visit the Cape’s largest organic farm, or try Cape-made truffles from Chef Paul – they’ve planned a whole weekend’s worth of food-and-wine-themed fun. Getting in on the good times, chefs from top-tier restaurants are working on special Eat Local Menus designed to showcase local ingredients. The menus are still in the works but you can’t go wrong at spots like  Blackfish, Blue Moon Bistro, Cape Sea Grille, Island Merchant, Red Pheasant, Regatta of Cotuit or Wicked Oyster. Take a look at the CLASH website for all the details, including suggestions for where to stay, and get your fill of the Cape before fall really sets in.
