It’s Pie in the Sky Time

Bake sales are a great way to fund your local kids’ sports team, raise money for a fancy field trip, or in the case of Pie in the Sky, feed thousands of Massachusetts families in need. Pie in the Sky is an annual and delicious holiday fundraiser hosted by Community Servings, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing medically tailored meals to individuals and families living with chronic illnesses. This year marks the fundraiser’s 25th anniversary, and Pie in the Sky has high hopes of selling a record-breaking 25000 pies with the help of more than 150 of Greater Boston’s most talented and generous chefs and restaurants. From Flour’s baking royalty Joanne Chang to SRV’s pastry wizard Meg Thompson, Boston’s baking elite will be out in force to help bake the record. Each apple, pecan, pumpkin, and sweet potato pie will be on sale for $30, which provides an entire week of meals for struggling families. Pies are on sale through the third week in November, so make sure to stock up for Thanksgiving (or just to have around the house). For more info or to place your pie order, visit the Pie in the Sky website.
