No. 9 Park – Sous Chef

No. 9 Park, Barbara Lynch’s flagship fine dining restaurant, is seeking a Sous Chef to join their team. One of the simplest mantras that have made the No. 9 experience so impactful is the practiced belief that everything one does in the kitchen matters. Whether you’re an intern or the Chef; slicing vegetables, or searing duck every contribution makes a difference.

Applicants should demonstrate a passion for ingredients, technique, discipline, cleanliness, and hospitality. Ideal applicants will have prior kitchen managerial experience as well as exposure to costing, inventory, payroll, and scheduling. Two or more years of previous fine dining line experience is required, ideally in an Italian or French scratch kitchen. Above all, applicants will be passionate about food, food culture, and hospitality; eager students and patient educators; able to motivate and inspire a team of diverse individuals; and believe in leading by example.
