Fox & the Knife and Bar Volpe are looking for front of the house managers.
Chef Karen Akunowicz’s vibrant first restaurant Fox & the Knife was named Best New Restaurant in America by Food + Wine Magazine, and was a James Beard Finalist for Best New restaurant in America. Fox & the Knife offers traditional Italian food with a modern sensibility, focusing on their handmade pastas, bright antipasti and their Aperitivi and Amaro programs.
Bar Volpe was just named Best Italian Restaurant by Boston magazine and celebrates Southern Italian food and culture.
The right candidate for these management positions are industry professionals with at least 2 years of experience in upscale casual or fine dining restaurants. The manager will work directly with Chef Karen and the General Manager.
They are searching for an enthusiastic, systems oriented, hospitality pro who wants to host their own party every night for their guests. High commitment to kindness, quality and guest experience are of utmost importance.

Service management
- A passion for training and developing staff, and the ability to motivate their team.
- Thorough and personalized experiences for every guest.
- Scheduling
- Awesome written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and has a sense of urgency
- Knowledge of wine and spirits, Amaro knowledge is a huge plus
- High level of organization
- Preferred knowledge of Toast, Resy, Indesign, Google Sheets and Excel
- Website maintenance
