Red wine in the summer? No problem, just chill out with your friends at Forage! Drop by the Cambridge eatery for this week’s wine dinner on Tuesday, July 23rd to try some lighter-bodied red wines that are acid-driven, fruit-forward and low tannin — and happen to taste amazing after 10-15 minutes on ice. They’re the perfect accompaniment to some mid-summer menu items from chef Eric Cooper, and you can check out all the matchups below, including Fennel & Squash salad partnered with Zweigelt, Chilled Potato Soup coupled with Cinsault, and Dry Roasted Pork Shoulder paired with Sangiovese.

Dinner reservations are available here or by calling 617.576.5444 from 5:00 to 8:45pm. The patio is closed until next month for renovations but that’s actually a great excuse to soak up the AC in the dining room as you cool off with all the crushable reds. Dinner costs $120 per person, and be sure to bring a few extra bucks so you can bring a bottle or two home after the meal at retail prices.
