Natural wines and Italy’s Umbria region go hand in hand. After all, the region has been making wines since pre-Roman times! Head to Forage in Cambridge on Tuesday, October 1st to try some bold, expressive bottles that reflect that rich winemaking history at this week’s wine dinner. Check out chef Eric Cooper’s Italian-inspired menu below, which includes matchups like Italian Wedding Soup with Braised Tuscan Kale, Beans and Fennel Sausage paired with 2023 Uva Pecora, “Pelle Bianco,” Vini Costa; and Pepper Rubbed Strip Steak (or Breaded Eggplant for vegetarians) with Roasted Mushrooms & Potatoes, and Caramelized Tomato paired with 2020 Sangiovese… “Pittarello,” Agri Segretum.

Reservations for dinner are available between 5:00 and 8:45pm (grab your spots here). Dinner costs $120 per person, which includes your four-course meal and all the wine pairings. If something from the wine lineup strikes your fancy, you can also take a few bottles home after the meal at retail prices, just talk to your server and they’ll add them to the bill. Give them a call at 617.576.5444 if you have any Qs, and keep an eye on their socials (FB & IG) for updates on all their weekly wine dinners this fall.
