The hills are alive with the taste of Austrian wine at Forage on Tuesday, August 20th. The adorable eatery in Cambridge is turning its eye this week to some of the unique small production wines of Austria, where there have been grape vines for 60 million years. Chef Eric Cooper and wine guru Stan Hilbert are going to teach you everything you need to know about its unique grape varietals like Gruner Veltliner and Blaufrankisch, plus you’ll get some taste bites like a Savory Buckwheat Waffle with chanterelles, verano and goldenrod vinegar; and Meyer Lemon Marinated Pork Shoulder Schnitzel with spaetzle, Austrian wine gravy and red sauerkraut (take a look at the rest of the menu below).

Pick up reservations for dinner here for $120 per person between 5:00 and 8:45 pm. You’ll get four courses and wine pairings, plus they’ll have plenty of bottles to take home after you say auf wiedersehen at retail prices.
