Located in City Point, a historic and storied section of South Boston just blocks from Dorchester Bay, Local 149 reflects the distinctive character of its surroundings with a menu that's “exceptionally” local. The whimsical lunch and dinner offerings (divided into categories like Nuts & Bolts and Hand Tools) are seasonal and locally-sourced wherever possible.

Local 149's schematic layout creates an atmosphere that's cozy and communal, where diners can sit by the wood-burning fireplace, hang out in large booths or mingle at long tables and along the old fashioned bar stools.

Diners and drinkers convene around the brushed stainless steel bar, central to the space, to choose from 22 taps and an authentic yet creative list of craft cocktails and infusions featuring house-made garnishes and ingredients.
