Trade Ice Buckets for Chili Bowls

Now may not be the best time to douse yourself in ice water, but you can still do your part for ALS research – check out the 2nd annual Great Boston Chili Bowl on Saturday, March 7th. From 12:00-4:00pm local chefs square off with bowls of the hot stuff, so you can turn up the heat with tastes from Amelia’s Trattoria, Catalyst, Commonwealth, Flat Top Johnny’s, La Brasa, Nubar, Puritan & Company and Veggie Galaxy, among others. There’ll be plenty of local breweries on hand to soothe your overheated taste buds; look for Aeronaut Brewing, Downeast Cider House and Slumbrew. The Chili Bowl takes place in the Tech Square Atrium at 100 Technology Square in Cambridge and tickets cover unlimited chili and beer samples, as well as on-site garage parking and a commemorative glass, for $46.50 each. All funds from the event benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute, the world’s largest nonprofit biotech focused solely on ALS research, so pick up your tickets online here and get ready to get chili.
