Czech Out A New Beer at Bronwyn

If you’re not a native Czech speaker then Polotmavy doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue – but a new beer debuting at Bronwyn may have you running out to buy the Czech edition of Rosetta Stone. On Wednesday, September 17th Tim Wiechmann’s Somerville restaurant celebrates the release of Notch Brewing Co.’s Czech-style Polotmavy session beer – an unfiltered hoppy lager made with 100% Saaz hops. Wiechmann will be preparing a traditional Czech bar snack, Utopenci, made with sliced, pickled Špekáčky (a sausage made of beef, pork, smoked fat, and nutmeg), grilled bauernbrot and smoked paprika oil, to pair with the beer.
