Taste Of WGBH Returns

Mark your calendars for this September’s Taste of WGBH – the Food and Wine Festival returns for the third year with an expanded list of participants and an extra day of food and fun. WGBH has collected over 100 chefs and artisanal food producers from all over New England for this four-day experience. The fun starts on Thursday, September 11th with the Chef’s Gala Reception featuring 25 chefs, 22 wineries and three craft brewers providing food and drink for a unique farm to table experience.

On Friday, September 12th, you can give your tummy a rest while bidding on items in the WGBH Food and Wine Auction. The event heats up on Saturday, Septembers 13th with the Artisan Taste where sixty participating chefs and artisans will serve all manner of savory and sweet treats along with wine and beer tastings. Special chef presentations can be found on the Wolf/Subzero stage (hosted by yours truly, BostonChefs.com) or you can take a moment to step outside, put your feet up and update your Twitter, Instagram and Facebook feeds in the live music and social media lounge.

The latest innovation to the weekend is the addition of the Sunday morning Brunch Bar on September 14th. More than 30 participating restaurants and artisans will be serving all sorts of delicious items for your brunching pleasure along with sparkling wines, shandys, and locally distilled spirits. Live bluegrass music and chef demos provide entertainment for this portion of the event and may result in the consumption of one or more mimosas. This is an exciting event for Boston (Cape Cod and the Islands), showcasing the talent of the region.
