New England’s Rising Stars

Congrats to this year’s crop of up-and-comers who were named as Coastal New England Rising Stars. StarChefs toured around some of the region’s best restaurants from the water-facing states (sorry Vermont – and Connecticut, which, despite a decent-sized coastline, was not represented) and culled a list of some of the most notable newcomers including chef James Hackney of Twenty-Eight Atlantic at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club, chef Patrick Soucy of Ceia Kitchen + Bar, restaurateur Nancy Batista Caswell of the Caswell Restaurant Group (the folks behind the aforementioned Ceia Kitchen + Bar and sister restaurant Brine). Have a look at the whole list and start planning a few road trips to check out all the winners. Or, see them all under one roof at the tasting gala and awards ceremony which will be held at the Providence Biltmore Hotel on Tuesday, April 15th. Tickets for the shindig, available online here, are $95 each (or $125 for VIP which include a champagne and Petrossian caviar reception).
