Saloon’s monthly whiskey tasting classes return this fall with three new installments that are sure to intrigue and educate both novice and experienced whiskey lovers. Beverage Director and Resident Malt Man, Manny Gonzales leads the tastings at the Somerville bar, walking attendees through the character and nuances of four different whiskies per session. It’s a great way to become a whiskey expert on the fly or to refine an already well-whiskeyed palate. The upcoming classes are: Bourbon, Rye, Irish and Scotch on Tuesday, September 16th, Asian Whiskey on Tuesday, October 21st and Irish Whiskey on Tuesday, December 16th. Tickets for the evening tutorials, which egenerally run from 7:00-9:00pm, are $35 each.
