Mark your calendars – and start cozying up to your friends with places on the Lower Cape – the third annual Taste of Provincetown is scheduled for Saturday, August 25th. Plan on being in P-Town’s Town Hall (260 Commercial Street) around 6:00pm to taste your way through hors d’oeuvres, amuses and yummy morsels from more than thirty participating restaurants including Bayside Betsy’s, Jimmy’s Hideaway, Far Land Provisions, Patio American Grill & Cocktail Bar, Ten Tables, Karoo Kafé, Fanizzi’s by the Sea and 141 Market (among plenty of others). Sweet Cheeks’ own Tiffani Faison (also of Top Chef fame) will be making the trip down to the Cape to preside over the evening’s cooking challenge, which will feature three local chefs facing off. Proceeds from the event, which also includes a silent auction, benefit MassEquality, which works to protect the rights of every lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender person in Massachusetts. Tickets are $125 each and available online. Reserve yours asap – even if it means you have to sleep on the floor – it’ll be well worth the trip.
