Auld Alliance Pop-Up at Journeyman

Andrew Urbanetti is a chef on a mission – a mission to get Scottish fare back in everyone’s good culinary graces. On Tuesday, July 17th, he’ll be setting up shop in the kitchen at Somerville’s Journeyman for Auld Alliance, a pop-up dinner and nod to the 1295 peace agreement between the Scots and the French. The five-course menu, which will combine Urbanetti’s Lumière-honed French technique and traditional Scottish cookery (a salt cod Scotch egg, neeps and tatties, lamb with heart “onion rings” and his very own version of cranachan), will be available at one 7:00pm seating for $55 per person ($80 if you’d like to enjoy a welcome cocktail, wine and beer pairings with your meal). Reserve a seat online and get a whole new perspective of Scottish cuisine.
