Dinner from the Land of the Midnight Sun

Celebrate summer like a Scandinavian with a little help from your friendly Swedish neighbors at Beacon Hill Bistro. From Monday, June 18th through Sunday the 24th the Bistro, owned by Cecilia (who’s originally from Sweden) and Peter Rait, will host a Midsommarmiddag feast in honor of the summer solstice (which just so happens to be a big deal in the Nordic countries). For the occasion, Chef Josh Lewin has a four-course menu of Scandi-specialties planned so that you can snack on gravlax, lingonberries and dill (even if you don’t intend to dance around the maypole for the occasion). The special prix fixe is available during dinner hours alongside the regular menu and costs $47 per person (tax and gratuity excluded) – call 617.723.7575 for reservations.
