Feast of the East

Come from whatever cardinal direction you happen to hail from on Saturday, June 16th to feast in the East (East Arlington, that is). From 1:00 to 5:00pm the length of Mass. Ave from the Capitol Theater to Trinity Baptist Church in East Arlington will be filled with live musical entertainment, pony rides, art activities, sidewalk sales and a whole host of local restaurants cooking their delicious food for you and the family to sample. Amongst all the free slush, cotton candy and popcorn, you can also sample cookies and lemonade from Flora, arancini from Francesca’s Kitchen, pizza from ZA and empanadas from Tango (and those are just a few of the offerings). The day of family fun, which is on – rain or shine, is free and open to the public. Visit their website for a full list of participating restaurants and schedule of activities.
