Community Servings' LifeSavor 2012
The Langham Hotel once again hosts Community Servings' annual benefit gala, LifeSavor, now in its 20th year. Beginning at 5:30pm on Thursday, May 31st the Financial District hotel will kick off the evening with a cocktail reception (complete with appetizers) and silent auction. Then at 7:30, guests will be chauffeured off to any one of the fabulous participating restaurants for multi-course, wine paired meals for ten. Among the charitable restaurant possibilities are: Artisan Bistro, Asana, Aura, Bambara, Beacon Hill Bistro, Bergamot, Bistro du Midi, Blue Ginger, The Blue Room, Catalyst, City Table, Clio, Craigie on Main, dante, Davio's, Deuxave, EVOO, The Fireplace, Flora, Gaslight, Gourmet Caterers, Grill 23 & Bar, Hamersley's Bistro, Harvest, KO Prime, L'Espalier, Lineage, Lumiere, Market, Meritage, Mistral, Oleana, Pigalle, Post 390, Radius, Rialto, Sam's, Sandrine's Bistro, Sel de la Terre, Sorellina, Top of the Hub, Trade, Tremont 647, Union, UpStairs on the Square, Via Matta. After the feasting, guests will head back to the Langham to enjoy a sweet ending from Café Fleuri's famed chocolate bar. A single ticket to the whole shebang costs $300 but you can get in on just the cocktail party fun for $200, all the proceeds from which will aid Community Servings' efforts to provide home-delivered meals to people suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Take your pick and then head online to purchase a ticket.
