Down on the Farm for Memorial Day Weekend

If you’re sticking around town this Memorial Day weekend, add a trip to Apple Street Farm in Essex to the agenda. Chef, restaurateur and farmer Frank McClelland is hosting a weekend long seedling sale so you can outfit your own garden with organic veggies, flowers and herbs fit or the finest restaurants in town (like, say Sel de la Terre or L’Espalier). The farm will be open from 10:00am until 4:00pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but plan your outing for Saturday if you want in on Family Farm Day. They’ll be cooking out, offering farm tours and introducing guests to the newest members of the farm family: delicious – oops, adorable baby goats and pigs.
