Barbara Lynch‘s B&G Oysters launches their Explorer Series to see their shellfish-loving clientele through the winter. Made up of two parts, the series allows participants to explore the big world of bivalves at Chef’s Table Lunches or afternoon Master Classes. At Chef’s Table Lunches guests will gather over a two-course meal with a particularly knowledgeable member of the B&G team or visiting expert to discuss the topic of the day – whether it’s Littlenecks or New York Classics. The midday get togethers (1:00pm) cost $45 per person, including a glass of wine. Master Classes, which, depending on the week, might be led by local oyster farmers, wine importers or savvy industry professionals, are scheduled for 3:00-4:00pm and cost $35 per person unless otherwise noted. The series starts on December 1st and goes right into spring, so see what they have planned and reserve your seat. Space is limited. Call 617.423.0550.
