Chefs for Obama

Showing their political stripes even in their chef whites, some of Boston’s brightest culinary stars come out for Chefs for Obama on Tuesday, January 31st. Starting at 6:30pm at the Cylcorama, chefs will be cooking and competing for top honors from guest judges Diane Patrick, Governor Deval Patrick and chef Ming Tsai. Look for luminaries from the food community including Jody Adams of Rialto and Trade; Jamie Bissonnette of Toro and Coppa, Chris Coombs of Deuxave and dbar; Gordon Hamersley of Hamersley’s Bistro, Barbara Lynch of No. 9 Park, B&G Oysters, The Butcher Shop, Sportello and Menton; Barry Maiden of Hungry Mother; Rebecca Newell of The Beehive; Marc Orfaly of Pigalle and Remick’s; and Brian Reyelt of Franklin Café, Citizen and Tasty Burger. Proceeds from tickets – $1000, $500 or $250 depending on what level of support and desired perks appeal to you – will go into the Obama for America coffers.
