Miel’s Bastille Day Pétanque Party

On Saturday, July 11th make like a Frenchman (or woman as the case may be) for the Bastille Day celebration at Miel's Pétanque Party in the Intercontinental Boston's outdoor gardens. The evening will include a tournament of the traditional French game of pétanque (think bocce but trés francais), the winner of which will receive an overnight stay at the Intercontinental Boston with breakfast for two. Chef Josean Rosado will prepare a tasty array of French eats including sweet & savory crêpes and fresh baguette sandwiches for $5 each should you need something on which to mange. And, in the event that you work up a thirst (pétanque can take a lot out of you), there'll be plenty of cocktails on which to sip. This French fete, which runs from 5:00 to 10:00pm, is free to all revelers so make sure you head down to the waterfront for a little taste of la bonne vie.
