Happy Birthday, Mr. Burns

Arlington’s Flora is pulling out all stops for a Scottish celebration of poet Robert Burns on Sunday, January 25th. This evening of Scotch, haggis and lyric verse only comes once a year and Flora has a full menu of traditional dishes, including ale-braised Angus beef, and classic toasts. Balvenie Scotch and customary songs drive the festivities, which begin with a social hour at 6:00pm. After the Address to a Haggis (and, presumably, the eating of some haggis), guests can pay tribute to Burns by submitting and reading their favorite of his poems before the final chorus of Auld Lang Syne. The cost per person is $80 and reservations are available at 781.641.1664.
