Harbor Island Homeless Benefit

Four of Boston’s top chefs will be preparing an exquisite four-course dinner on The Farm at Boston’s Long Island Shelter to benefit the Serving Ourselves Program. Run by Boston’s Public Health Commission, the program helps feed the bodies, minds and spirits of some of Boston’s most vulnerable residents by providing organic produce and paid work experience that teaches a variety of skills, from agriculture to landscaping and flower-arranging. The dinner, which is scheduled for Thursday, September 25th, features chefs Karen Akunowicz of Myers + Chang, Dave Becker of Sweet Basil, Chris Douglass of Ashmont Grill and Tavolo, and Jim Solomon of The Fireplace. The evening starts at 6:00 with hors d’oeuvres; and the courses start rolling out at 7:00pm. Tickets are $250 each, with sponsorships available up to $5,000. Tickets of all types are available online.
