Five of Boston’s top chefs will put their burger-making reputations on the line at the 2014 Burger Slam on Saturday, May 17th. Chefs from Gaslight, Grass Fed, The Haven, Bravo at the Museum of Fine Arts and Sycamore will be putting their patties up for consideration in hopes of taking home the title of Best Burger as awarded by a panel local personalities and burger experts. The evening’s festivities will also include games, auctions, wine tastings, veggie burgers and photo opportunities to keep things lively. Proceeds will be used towards the development of an outdoor classroom, art instruction, physical education and science enrichment at the JP Manning School. The party, which will be at Spontaneous Celebrations (45 Danforth Street in Jamaica Plain), fires up at 6:30 and finishes at 10:00pm. Tickets are $25 and are available online.
