Great Boston Chili Bowl

On Saturday, March 8th, chefs from a handful of Boston and Cambridge restaurants will showcase their treasured (and often very well-guarded) chili recipes at the Great Boston Chili Bowl. Scheduled for 12:00 to 4:00pm in the atrium of 100 Technology Square in Kendall Sq., the event includes samples from the cookers at Amelia’s Trattoria, Catalyst, Commonwealth Restaurant and Market, Puritan & Company, Tavern Road, Tavolo and Ashmont Grill, among others. A number of breweries will also be in attendance including Blue Hills Brewery, John Harvard’s and Peak Organic, for starters. All funds benefit Cambridge nonprofit ALS Therapy Development Institute, the world’s largest drug development organization dedicated to ending ALS. The event is 21+. General admission tickets are $35 (which includes entry to the event, unlimited chili and beer samples and free on-site garage parking) and VIP tickets are also available for $55 (which includes all of the aforementioned stuffs as well as an event t-shirt). You can purchase tickets online, so mark your calendars and get ready to eat some chili.
