Twelve-Course Overkill Dinner

Too much of a good thing? Impossible, according to the folks at Harvard Square’s Harvest. Chef Mary Dumont and pastry chef Brian Mercury are putting together an epic twelve-course tasting menu (complete with punch bowls of cocktails) for their upcoming Overkill dinner, scheduled for Thursday, October 30th. Since twelve courses is a lot of courses, they’re enlisting a few friends: Will Gilson of Puritan & Co., Michael Scelfo of Alden & Harlow, Mike Stark of Toro, Karen Akunowicz of Myers & Chang, Monica Glass of Clio, Jaime Davis of Deuxave, Jared Bacheller of L’Espalier and Megan Thompson of the highly anticipated Townsman. And that’s just the food; in the drinks department they’ve lined up beverages from Harvest, Eastern Standard and JM Curley. Tickets are $175 each (before processing fees) but you won’t have to feel even the teeny tiniest bit guilty; this splurge is for a good cause. Proceeds from the Overkill dinner support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry, an organization committed to ending childhood hunger. You can skip the Halloween candy though if it makes you feel better. Just buy your ticket here.
