A Taste of WGBH

Last year’s three day ode to food and wine was so great, the folks at WGBH are doing it again; and adding another day. The Taste of WGBH Food and Wine Festival returns to its One Guest Street home from Thursday, September 19th to Sunday the 22nd. The fun begins with a culinary bang at the Chef’s Gala Reception (7:00pm on the 19th), where twenty-five talented chefs and an equal number of notable wineries will be serving their creations and libations. Look for familiar faces like Jody Adams, Richard Baker, Chris Coombs, Jose Duarte, Mary Dumont, Jeff Fournier, Rich Garcia, Will Gilson, Andy Husbands, William Kovel, Frank McClelland, Dante de Magistris, Tony Maws, Brendan Pelley, Mark Sapienza, Michael Scelfo, Robert Sisca and Jasper White. The rest of the food-focused entertainment in the weekend-long extravaganza includes a wine auction, an educational afternoon of seminars and the Artisan Taste, a Saturday event, spread out over two sessions (12:00-3:00pm and 5:00-8:00pm), and dedicated to local purveyors of artisanal New England goods.
