4th of July BBQ on the Banks of the Charles

Celebrate Independence Day at dante, where chef-owner Dante de Magistris is hosting a casual Italian American barbeque on his riverside patio. There’ll be mixing and mingling over patriotic-themed, house-infused cocktails, great water views and a menu of summertime classics-with-an-Italian-twist like a lobster roll PLT (with mascarpone, pancetta, arugula, tomato, served on buttered brioche roll), grilled corn, braised ribs and chicken wings. The festivities, which include a cash bar and an a la carte menu and don’t necessarily guarantee a view of the fireworks, cost $75 per person - $125 per person if you want to reserve a table. It’s a small price to pay to forget about jockeying for space on the Esplanade and standing in line for the Porta Potty. Call dante at 617.497.4200 for reservations.
