Friends For Haiti Returns
You're probably not thinking about your September plans yet, but that'll all change when you hear about the 2nd annual Friends for Haiti event being held on Saturday, September 8th. Tickets for this chefly star-studded fundraiser hosted by the Island Creek Oyster Foundation go on sale on Friday, May 4th for $250 each. For the aforementioned price of admission, you'll get to sample loads of fresh oysters, lovely cocktails from Jackson Cannon, and delicious bites from chefs like Jeremy Sewall, Jody Adams, Michael Schlow, Mary Dumont, Robert Grant, Patricia Yeo and even a few out-of-towners like Seth and Angela Raynor who'll be coming to the Duxbury Beach shindig from Nantucket. You'll also be doing a ton of good for hundreds of Haitian families who, through the tilapia farming starter kits donated by the foundation, are able to pull themselves out of poverty and work towards a sustainable source of protein.
