Cookbooks for Everyone! - Cookbooks from some of Boston's highly acclaimed chefs.
Bargain Bites - Unbelievable dining deals at Boston's best restaurants
The How to Heroes Hoedown crops up in Concord for their third annual farm fest. On Sunday, October 2nd, the video cooking website invites guests and some of their featured chefs to celebrate the fall harvest with an afternoon of tastings, cooking demos, live music and - the pièce de résistance for meat lovers - a pig roast. Look for familiar faces like Benjamin Lacy from Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro, Brian Poe from Poe's Kitchen at the Rattlesnake and Keith Pooler from Bergamot. Bring your best dessert to compete in the Hoedown Baking Throwdown or don your fanciest cowboy threads to see if you can win the Hoedown Duds Competition. The fun, which runs from 1:00-5:00pm, also includes lots of kid-friendly activities so corral the whole family and make for Verrill Farm. Tickets, which are $25 each for adults and free for children under 10, are available online or at the door.
