Area Four is Open. Sort Of.

Chef Michael Leviton‘s new Cambridge eatery is up and running. Actually, that’s only half true. Area Four is made up of two parts – the bakery and café side, and the bar and grill-ish side (oven-ish, technically speaking) – Leviton opened the bakery and café for breakfast and lunch this morning, serving an assortment of pastries as well as a small selection of sandwiches and salads.

The restaurant-y part of the restaurant, which will be open for lunch and dinner, will follow in a couple weeks or so. No word on what’s on that menu – Leviton, as is his way, will be waiting until the very last minute so he can incorporate the most seasonal ingredients he can get his hands on. We do know that much of the menu will be coming out of the super fancy wood-burning ovens. Keep an eye out for details as opening day approaches, or, in the meantime, swing by 500 Technology Square between 7:00am and 6:00pm for breakfast or lunch.
