Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer 2011

Spend the first week of May partaking in a little sweet charity when the Dana Farber Cancer Institute hosts the 12th annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer. From Monday, May 2nd through Sunday the 8th, over 250 restaurants, bakeries, chocolatiers and other purveyors of sweet treats will be offering special dessert creations, 100% of the proceeds from which will go to benefit breast cancer research. Sample what’s being offered at spots like AKA Bistro, Amelia’s Trattoria, Aquitaine, Aquitaine Bis, Aquitaine Dedham, Beacon Hill Bistro, Bergamot, Bistro du Midi, Blue Ginger, Brasserie Jo, Bristol Lounge, Chiara, Chillingsworth, City Table, Clink, Davio’s, all three Finale’s, The Fireplace, Flora, Gaslight, Grill 23, Harvest, Hungry MotherSummer Shack Cambridge, Kingfish Hall, L’Andana, Lucca Back Bay, Lumiere, Market, Metropolis, Mistral, Mooo, No. 9 Park, Oleana, OM, Pain D’Avignon, Poe’s Kitchen, Post 390, The Regal Beagle, Scarlet Oak Tavern, Sorellina, Teatro, Regatta of Cotuit, Tomasso Trattoria, Tryst, Turner Fisheries, and Union.  Prices and dishes will vary but regardless of whether you’re in the suburbs, the city, or even on the Cape, there’s a way for you to do some sugary good.
