Defending his hard-won title, Chas Boynton of dante faces off against fellow Cantabridgian Theresa Paopao from Oleana for the June Sommelier Smackdown on Thursday, June 18th. Also returning - chefs Louis DiBiccari and Ian Grossman of Sel de la Terre, who are both back in the demo kitchen at Gordon's Fine Wine and Culinary Center, cooking up four impromptu courses to challenge the wine-pairing wisdom of the two contestants. Guests will get to decide if Boynton gets to keep his crown or if Paopao will be the reigning champion (at least until next month's smackdown). The fun runs from 6:30 to 8:30pm and costs $65 per person (which includes four courses and eight wines). For tickets, visit the Gordon's website.
