Bargain Bites - unbelievable dining deals at Boston's best restaurants
Throughout the week - from Monday, November 16th through Sunday, November 22nd - Clio salutes two Prohibition era pioneers in the only appropriate way - with cocktails in their honor. Clio's mixologists pay tribute to bartender and author William Boothby, who wrote Drinks and How to Mix Them and The American Bartender. Also being honored, cocktail connoisseur David Embry, who based his tome, The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks, entirely off of personal experience since, as he put it "I am not a distiller, an importer, a bottler, or a merchant of liquors. I am not even a retired bartender. My practical experience with liquors has been entirely as a consumer." Snag a seat at the bar to taste of few of their signature drinks - as interpreted by modern day mixologists. Concoctions like the Boothby Cocktail or the Casino cost $10 each and will be accompanied by a tasty little plate of rock shrimp tempura courtesy of chef-owner Ken Oringer and company. Call Clio at 617.536.7200 for more information.
