Make your way to the first annual Martha’s Vineyard Annual Harvest this month to enjoy a festive, weekend-long celebration of the sea, farm and vine. Bringing together celebrity chefs from on-island and off, the event starts on Friday, October 12th with a champagne reception, and runs through Sunday, October 14th. Spend Saturday learning about cheese with Formaggio Kitchen’s Ihsan Gurdal or set out on a tour of local oyster beds from the North Wharf. Vineyard restaurants like Lure at the Winnetu or the Coach House will be hosting cooking demonstrations and seminars all day long, enlisting chefs from near and far. Check the full schedule to see where you can catch up with familiar chefs like Tom Berry of Temple Bar, Jody Adams of Rialto and Chris Schlesinger of East Coast Grill, as well as bar chef Jackson Cannon of Eastern Standard, who’ll be hosting a seminar on the History of the Cocktail. Check the Martha’s Vineyard Annual Harvest website for the full schedule of events, ticket prices and more information.
